Honestly I would give more stars if I could. I don’t know that anything I write could do this place justice. You just have to try it yourself. My son goes here and while he is still very young I have no issues with lessons or routines or the way the message is communicated.
Just joined and loving it. Very effective for the real world. *As a 6 month follow up, this school will teach you real world situations and will teach you techniques for how to defend against different weapons such as a gun, stick or knife attack and different scenarios like multiple attackers.
I'm so lucky that I chose AIKMO for my introduction to Krav Maga. The owner Steve puts his heart into what he does and I with practice I continue to believe in my ability to defend myself should any situation arise thanks to very real world and practical defense skills I've learned here from his dedicated team.
This is a fantastic team to learn self-defense from! The owner (Steve), his team, and the other trainers are incredibly patient and kind. I have a learning disability and a processing issue that make me a slow learner and they have been massively helpful in helping me with still understanding techniques.
Your first Krav Maga class at AIKMO Krav Maga
Nervous about walking into a Krav Maga school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling a few core techniques with a partner — controlled and at your own pace, not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move in — there's no uniform or special gear you need to buy to get started. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — most schools have everything else you'll need for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call what to bring. Pressure-testing eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid — you won't be sparring hard on day one. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
