Women's Self-Defense Classes
Women's self-defense is the reason a huge share of people first walk through the door, and Krav Maga is built for it: practical, instinctive techniques that work regardless of size or strength, taught calmly and without judgment. A women's class — whether a dedicated women-only session or a workshop series — is a supportive, no-pressure room where you learn to read a situation early, use your voice and body language, break free from common grabs and holds, and get to safety. Awareness and de-escalation come first, physical technique second, and confidence runs through all of it. You do not need to be fit, athletic, or experienced to start; everything scales to you, and a good instructor makes the room feel welcoming rather than intimidating. Expect to leave more aware and more capable, expect genuine, pressure-tested technique rather than choreography, and check the schedule for which sessions are women-only versus all-welcome. The 204 schools below offer women's self-defense classes — use the map to find the closest one, or browse by state.
