From the reviews

We take kids and adult classes. The kids love their class. The instructor Coach Chris is stern, no nonsense and demands respect. But at the same time has the kids laughing and joking...its a great combo and they are learning real life scenarios and how to respond and react!

Love coming here, the instructors are very nice (well… as nice as you can be in a self defense class) and take it at your level, and you can even sign up for private lessons with just you and a instructor for more personalized instructions! It’s a very good experience each time I come, and learn more each class.

Small class so plenty of one on one with the instructors. Great workout and lots of fun. I enjoyed it so much that I joined the club. Not to mention learning to effectively defend myself.

Amazing class. I learned so much just from one session. Fantastic instructors and a supportive environment. Definitely looking into attending on a regular basis now

Your first Krav Maga class at Burbank Krav Maga

Nervous about walking into a Krav Maga school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling a few core techniques with a partner — controlled and at your own pace, not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move in — there's no uniform or special gear you need to buy to get started. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — most schools have everything else you'll need for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call what to bring. Pressure-testing eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid — you won't be sparring hard on day one. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.

Krav Maga is a contact activity. Ease in, train at your own pace, listen to your instructors, and if you have any injuries or health concerns, mention them before class and check with a doctor if you're unsure.
