From the reviews

This place has such a nice family feel! They have a variety of different instructors that all have their own strengths and are great at working with kids that have attention issues. Mrs. Rambow and Mrs. Guse are amazing!

★★★★★ — Sydney, May 2023

This is a great environment to have your child and family. They are patient and mindful of each student's level and ability. The instructions are broken down into small manageable steps. You can see your child's respect and skills grow.

★★★★★ — Isaiah, Mar 2025

My kids are “neurospicy” and high energy; so they’re the kids that need to learn focus, discipline, confidence, and the other life lessons martial arts are supposed to help with… but finding a dojang that can handle neurodivergent kids with grace and compassion without missing a beat is rare.

★★★★★ — Cheryl, Mar 2025

Such a great supporting and fun teaching karate classes! My son has autism and they are all so patient with him and he tries his best. Helps him concentrate and focus. He has a hard time remembering a routine but they repeat and cover each time. Couldn't have asked for a better experience and place for him.

Your first Krav Maga class at Changing Lives Martial Arts Holland

Nervous about walking into a Krav Maga school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling a few core techniques with a partner — controlled and at your own pace, not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move in — there's no uniform or special gear you need to buy to get started. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — most schools have everything else you'll need for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call what to bring. Pressure-testing eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid — you won't be sparring hard on day one. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.

Krav Maga is a contact activity. Ease in, train at your own pace, listen to your instructors, and if you have any injuries or health concerns, mention them before class and check with a doctor if you're unsure.
