From the reviews

My daughter and I love excel martial arts! My daughter has been going to excel since she was 4 years old. Now, she is almost 10. My daughter is now in almost all of their programs including, karate, gymnastics and yoga. She also goes to their after school program and summer camp.

Both of my children attend the school, my son since 2007 and my daughter since 2010. Google really isn't fair, because "Loved It" isn't accurate. I still love it. Excel Martial Arts isn't just a karate school, it's the core focus to be sure but the school is much more than that. Excel is a family.

★★★★★ — Elise, Mar 2015

We enrolled our son at Excel Martial Arts when he was 4 years old. He is now 9 years old and he lives and breathes EXCEL MARTIAL ARTS!!! Our son started out as an afterschooler. A few weeks later we enrolled him in the Karate Program. This has been one of the best decisions we have ever made for our son.

Your first Krav Maga class at Excel Martial Arts

Nervous about walking into a Krav Maga school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling a few core techniques with a partner — controlled and at your own pace, not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move in — there's no uniform or special gear you need to buy to get started. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — most schools have everything else you'll need for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call what to bring. Pressure-testing eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid — you won't be sparring hard on day one. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.

Krav Maga is a contact activity. Ease in, train at your own pace, listen to your instructors, and if you have any injuries or health concerns, mention them before class and check with a doctor if you're unsure.
