From the reviews
After our 4 year old had a bad experience in another team sports, and I was so scared he would never be open to another sporting experience again. We tried Kimber after being referred by a friend and it was the BEST decision we ever made.
Both of our children attend Kimber Martial Arts as part of their after-school program, will/have attended summer programs, and our son has gone a step further and takes Karate instruction under Sensei Steve.
The instructors are professional, encouraging, challenging, and patient. My family and I have had a great experience at Kimber over the last year and look forward to continuing with them. For anybody that’s on the fence, I can confidently recommend them for any age group!
We love Kimber Martial Arts. My 6 year old son started classes in the end of April. I was hesitant about him doing extracurricular type activities because he's on the spectrum and I didn't know how well he would handle a new place, new routine, a uniform, loud noises, people touching him etc.
Your first Krav Maga class at Kimber Martial Arts
Nervous about walking into a Krav Maga school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling a few core techniques with a partner — controlled and at your own pace, not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move in — there's no uniform or special gear you need to buy to get started. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — most schools have everything else you'll need for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call what to bring. Pressure-testing eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid — you won't be sparring hard on day one. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
