From the reviews

Started Krav in 2017. What an amazing experience! The instructors and longtime attendees were very welcoming. They are now my Krav family and I hate when I miss class. If you're like me and prefer an active way to exercise rather than going to the gym... Krav Maga is a great option!

★★★★★ — Nikki, Mar 2020

The instructors make you feel at home as soon as you walk through the door. The regulars make you a part of the Krav family after just a few classes. I started Krav in 2017 and it truly was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

I, along with a group of friends and our daughters, had an opportunity to attend a self defense seminar hosted by the owner, Ann Marie Gibbs. Ann Marie was wonderful! The class was interactive and informative.

★★★★★ — Ericka, Feb 2021

Ann Marie gave a demonstration at a conference I attended in the fall. Her demonstration was only about thirty minutes but in that thirty minutes she taught us several easy and practical manouvers to help us protect ourselves. Ann Marie is highly skilled In Krav and is an excellent teacher.

Your first Krav Maga class at Krav Fit - Arkansas

Nervous about walking into a Krav Maga school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling a few core techniques with a partner — controlled and at your own pace, not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move in — there's no uniform or special gear you need to buy to get started. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — most schools have everything else you'll need for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call what to bring. Pressure-testing eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid — you won't be sparring hard on day one. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.

Krav Maga is a contact activity. Ease in, train at your own pace, listen to your instructors, and if you have any injuries or health concerns, mention them before class and check with a doctor if you're unsure.
