From the reviews
I’ve had, when the stars align and my schedule as a parent allows it, the good fortune to attend Marco’s Combatives class on Thursday evenings—and every time I’ve joined this class, I’ve been so impressed by the pure heart that every student brings to the mat.
Marco has a particular way of teaching that makes him unique. He teaches from the heart with great passion and gives us that confidence to improve. I came here to learn self-defense and ended up finding real confidence. The instructors are patient, fun, and make every class feel worth it. Every staff member has been so kind, even the front desk always greets me with a welcoming smile. I highly recommend 🙏
I started this program for about a month before heading out on 6 months of solo travel. It was an absolutely worthwhile experience to learn about self-defense, being aware in public and general fight IQ.
Your first Krav Maga class at Krav Maga Experts - Brooklyn
Nervous about walking into a Krav Maga school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling a few core techniques with a partner — controlled and at your own pace, not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move in — there's no uniform or special gear you need to buy to get started. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — most schools have everything else you'll need for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call what to bring. Pressure-testing eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid — you won't be sparring hard on day one. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
