From the reviews
I've been going to Krav SC for almost a year. The instruction is practical, challenging, and fun. Everyone is really friendly regardless of whether it is your first time or you've been going for years.
Excellent school. I have been training here for over 2 years now. The instructors are very professional and help you through every technique of your self defense journey. Going here you will learn applicable self defense strategies, techniques and confidence.
My first class, I was nervous, new, and didn’t know what to do. I was walked through each step of every technique to ensure I was doing it correctly and not picking up bad habits. The instructors and the other students are so genuine and encouraging.
Great place to get self defense training: jab, cross, elbows and knees. I go to get technique recommendations and learn how to escape and analyze dangerous situations. At first this class provided good cardio for me, as at the end you will be sweating, and after a while I started getting more and more refined movement.
Your first Krav Maga class at Krav Maga of Southern Colorado
Nervous about walking into a Krav Maga school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling a few core techniques with a partner — controlled and at your own pace, not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move in — there's no uniform or special gear you need to buy to get started. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — most schools have everything else you'll need for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call what to bring. Pressure-testing eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid — you won't be sparring hard on day one. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
