In October I looked for a place to learn Krav Maga and on the way to get some exercise. I found Krav Maga SMA on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Overall my experience is amazing, the class is not just about exercise but also about truly learning Krav Maga from someone (Master Solomon) who has 45 years of experience…
Outstanding Krav Maga: I am a 3rd degree black belt at KRAV MAGA SMA. I have gone to Master Solomon and seen him teach for 17 years. Master Solomon is a very knowledgeable, outstanding instructor; his love of teaching and rapport with his students stands as a shining example to instructors and teachers in all walks of…
Grandmaster Solomon is absolutely amazing! Very patient with everyone! Techniques are the best, very useful in everyday life. You will not regret coming here.
Grand Master Solomon is beyond the greatest Master a student can have, especially if you are first starting out. Regardless of your experience or level as a martial artist you will greatly benefit under studying Master Solomon.
Your first Krav Maga class at KRAV MAGA SMA
Nervous about walking into a Krav Maga school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling a few core techniques with a partner — controlled and at your own pace, not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move in — there's no uniform or special gear you need to buy to get started. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — most schools have everything else you'll need for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call what to bring. Pressure-testing eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid — you won't be sparring hard on day one. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
