From the reviews
I have a sincere fondness for Legacy Martial Arts due to their outstanding staff, students, and leadership program. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and patient, and they always go above and beyond to help their students succeed.
We had 2 of our kids in taekwondo and it was everything we hoped for and more. The kids were learning respect and discipline. They made great friends and we were sad to have to take a break, but our schedules couldn’t line up to support so the extra curriculars. Mr.
We are SO THANKFUL for Legacy and truly feel it has “saved” our son! The staff is passionate and caring and have become a “second family”. Our son had experienced bullying on various levels and his self esteem was nonexistent.
All of the staff are great at making students feel welcomed by knowing their name on day one. Every instructor is exceptional, and Mr. Micah and Mr. Todd have gone above and beyond to support my son. The environment is a culture of respect and appreciation.
Your first Krav Maga class at Legacy Martial Arts - Cove
Nervous about walking into a Krav Maga school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling a few core techniques with a partner — controlled and at your own pace, not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move in — there's no uniform or special gear you need to buy to get started. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — most schools have everything else you'll need for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call what to bring. Pressure-testing eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid — you won't be sparring hard on day one. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
