From the reviews
I've been coming here for about a month now and this is a good program. The instructor is very well trained, good at communicating, and treats everyone like a professional. The content is good and the workout is very good. I've definitely lost some weight since starting the program.
Master Klok knows what he is doing. He has been a personal defense instructor for over 25 years. He knows his stuff.
I’m an ‘old rusty’ martial artist with 20+ years in different martial arts while much younger, a 2nd degree black belt I’m sure I could no longer defend and an aging body that doesn’t let me do what I could long time ago.
In this day and age, a woman needs to be able to protect herself in whatever situation she is in. I took self defense classes in Columbia, SC for three years but nothing compares to this! Master Klok is a professional at teaching and making you feel comfortable.
Your first Krav Maga class at Mount Pleasant Krav Maga
Nervous about walking into a Krav Maga school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling a few core techniques with a partner — controlled and at your own pace, not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move in — there's no uniform or special gear you need to buy to get started. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — most schools have everything else you'll need for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call what to bring. Pressure-testing eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid — you won't be sparring hard on day one. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
