From the reviews
My son has been attending Pooler Karate firc3 years, and the growth I've seen in him—both on and off the mat—has been incredible. The instructors are not only skilled martial artists but also amazing mentors. They teach discipline, confidence, respect, and perseverance in a way that really connects with the kids.
My kids have finally gotten to an age where they get challenged both physically and mentally in their daily lives ( at school, in their community and literally everywhere) and before signing them up i started seeing self doubt in their troubles but once the started attending they not only learned karate skills and…
Pooler Karate has been a fantastic place for my son to grow and thrive. His self-development has been significantly influenced by the school, showing exponential leaps in his confidence and self-awareness.
My grandson absolutely loves attending Pooler Karate. From the moment we walked in, it felt like more than just a martial arts studio—it’s a vibrant community. The instructors are deeply supportive, helping students not only master techniques but also build confidence and discipline in every class.
Your first Krav Maga class at Pooler Karate, Krav Maga, & Jiu-Jitsu
Nervous about walking into a Krav Maga school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling a few core techniques with a partner — controlled and at your own pace, not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move in — there's no uniform or special gear you need to buy to get started. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — most schools have everything else you'll need for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call what to bring. Pressure-testing eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid — you won't be sparring hard on day one. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
