From the reviews
My daughter has been a student here for 5 years and has earned a black belt in TKD. She also does private lessons for extra training. They give students 100% attention to ensure proper technique and form. It’s been nothing but a positive experience and she’s made many friends.
Our son has been training at Tactical Martial Arts for the past few years, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience! Jiu-Jitsu has taught him so much more than just self-defense—it has helped build his confidence, discipline, respect, and perseverance.
We've had our son at Tactical Martial Arts in Richmond Hill for a few years now, and it's been a fantastic experience. The coaches are professional, engaging, and truly know their craft. They've created a disciplined but encouraging environment where our son is learning real skills and building confidence.
Great instructors, very knowledgeable. Wonderful environment. Enjoyed my class very much. Hopefully will enroll in more classes soon with my husband. I know he’ll love it too.
Your first Krav Maga class at Tactical Martial Arts
Nervous about walking into a Krav Maga school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling a few core techniques with a partner — controlled and at your own pace, not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move in — there's no uniform or special gear you need to buy to get started. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — most schools have everything else you'll need for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call what to bring. Pressure-testing eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid — you won't be sparring hard on day one. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
