From the reviews
I just started taking lessons here, and it’s amazing! The studio itself is nice and clean, and well organized. It has nice floors and mirrors if you want to check your positioning, a bathroom, kitchen sink where you can refill water, and a variety of tools (punching bags etc). You can wear shoes-or not.
I love this place. I especially appreciated the fact that as you learn, you can learn at your own pace and in ways that benefit your own body. You learn in such a way that your movements feel natural and not forced. Tim’s teaching style free, not robotic, he provides constructive feedback.
Tim is a great instructor. He is super hands on and teaches in a way that is easy to understand. The training area is always super clean, it is nice to see when you walk in. I highly recommend coming down for a trial workout. You will be hooked as am I! Five stars all the way!
Had a fantastic experience here. This was my first time trying Krav and everyone made me feel so welcome - it was much less intimidating than expected and I ended up having a lot of fun (albeit exhausted!). They also have some great options for kids!
Your first Krav Maga class at Cascadia Krav Maga
Nervous about walking into a Krav Maga school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling a few core techniques with a partner — controlled and at your own pace, not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move in — there's no uniform or special gear you need to buy to get started. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — most schools have everything else you'll need for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call what to bring. Pressure-testing eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid — you won't be sparring hard on day one. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
