Crucible Krav Maga My oldest daughter took a women's self defense seminar that was given by Crucible Krav Maga. She enjoyed it and learned a great deal. She was so excited and motivated that she convinced me to take a closer look.
I can't say enough about how great Mike and the Cricible gang are to work with! I've been taking my teenage daughter for several months and could not be more pleased. In addition to learning great defensive techniques, the improvement in her (and my) self confidence has been priceless!
This place is something else. Teaching kids on how to react on the street where there are no rules, yet enough discipline to know right from wrong. Love this place! Paul is amazing.. Fun with the kids, but still finds a way to push them to their potential.
Great instructors and environment! My kids and wife love taking the classes. Everything is broken down so you aren't going through the motions, but actually learning technique. Like all Krav, there are elements of psychology, and stress drills involved.
Your first Krav Maga class at Crucible Krav Maga
Nervous about walking into a Krav Maga school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling a few core techniques with a partner — controlled and at your own pace, not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move in — there's no uniform or special gear you need to buy to get started. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — most schools have everything else you'll need for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call what to bring. Pressure-testing eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid — you won't be sparring hard on day one. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
