Krav Maga Level Classes
Krav Maga is usually taught as a graded curriculum — commonly Level 1 through 5, or a Practitioner P1–P5 system — where each level builds on the one before. Level classes group students by where they are: Level 1 covers the fundamentals — stance, movement, basic strikes, and releases from the most common grabs — while higher levels add defenses against more complex attacks, multiple attackers, and weapons, along with more demanding conditioning and pressure-testing. The system gives you a clear path and a way to measure progress, with periodic testing to move up. Newcomers start at Level 1 (or a fundamentals class), and there is no rush — people advance at their own pace. Expect a structured, progressive path, expect each level to assume the one before it, and check with the school about how its levels and testing work, since systems vary by affiliation.
