“He’s the first to say this isn’t a gym, you come to him when you want to get in shape yes, but more importantly when you want to learn how to protect yourself and others.”

From the reviews
This place is wonderful! Gustavo is a great teacher, focussed on his students and their personal growth. Krav Maga impacts every aspects of your life and you can't find a better coach to guide you! The workout is intense and challenging, in a good way. You will gain both muscles and confidence.
I have been coming to Dogo Krav Maga for two years now and I enjoy the challenge Gustavo brings to us with every class. As I look back I can see the progression I've made with Gustavos training. I'm more flexible (when I started I was stiff as a board). Also, my coordination, strength and footwork have improved.
I have been going to Dogo Krav Maga for about two years. It has changed my life, more than words can express. I am able to get the best workout, mentally, and physically, for an hour of Krav Maga or Kickboxing. This all comes from the amazing, wonderful, and terrific instructor, Mr. Desperatti.
This place is fantastic! I've been training with Gustavo for 2 years now, and I've enjoyed every class. You can tell that he is very passionate about what he does, and he is an excellent instructor. He's very outgoing and funny, so it makes communication easier, and you'll have more fun in class.
Your first Krav Maga class at Dogo Defense Academy
Nervous about walking into a Krav Maga school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling a few core techniques with a partner — controlled and at your own pace, not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move in — there's no uniform or special gear you need to buy to get started. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — most schools have everything else you'll need for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call what to bring. Pressure-testing eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid — you won't be sparring hard on day one. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
