From the reviews
If you want to learn to survive a violent encounter, train with Roger. He is hands down the best defensive tactics instructor around, He quickly and safely teaches students effective skills for survival. Rogers's experience, skill, and ability to teach set him apart.
Roger introduced me to Krav Maga and Defensive Tactics many years ago and continues to be the most knowledgable Instructor in the Field of Self Defense and Defensive Tactics whether it be hand to hand or armed attackers.
Roger is an extremely patient and effective teacher. He has been able to translate his experience into a simple and realistic style of self defense that is relevant and manageable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Roger if you are looking for private self defense training.
Roger is an excellent teacher and has a lot of great solutions to self defense problems. I've only been going for a couple of months, and I've learned more than I could have ever thought possible in a short amount of time.
Your first Krav Maga class at Dtac Krav Maga
Nervous about walking into a Krav Maga school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling a few core techniques with a partner — controlled and at your own pace, not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move in — there's no uniform or special gear you need to buy to get started. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — most schools have everything else you'll need for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call what to bring. Pressure-testing eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid — you won't be sparring hard on day one. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
