From the reviews
My daughter loves this place. The instructors are awesome with the kids. I would definitely recommend this to place to anyone looking for a great martial arts class. These kids are learning a lot more than martial arts.
My son did NOT want to take karate classes. If I could underline "not" for emphasis, I sure would. We didn't make it to the first few classes because he was so upset, but The Harts are such incredibly patient human beings, that they let him just come and watch class until he felt confident enough to join.
We’ve had an incredible experience with Family Martial Arts over the past year and a half. My child has been part of the Advanced Dragons program, and the growth we’ve seen has been remarkable. Sensei Odalys, Mr. Hart, and the entire team truly care about their students as whole people, not just as martial artists.
The energy at FMA is awesome, Keeghan was drawn to them instantly at her Open House for school. Originally was going to enter her in a different type of Martial Arts but after her initial class she was hooked. She loves all of the senseis and even makes them pictures and other things.
Your first Krav Maga class at Family Martial Arts Sandy Springs
Nervous about walking into a Krav Maga school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling a few core techniques with a partner — controlled and at your own pace, not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move in — there's no uniform or special gear you need to buy to get started. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — most schools have everything else you'll need for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call what to bring. Pressure-testing eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid — you won't be sparring hard on day one. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
