If I could give KravHIIT Academy more than 5 stars, I would. My family and I have been training here for over 3 years, and it has been one of the best decisions we've ever made. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely care about every student, no matter their age or skill level.

This little place in the middle of... is awesome! I've attended Krav classes and seminars across the globe and I've found that everyone else is waaay behind or that their advanced levels are what I learned as a novice with Tom.

Your first Krav Maga class at KravHIIT Martial Arts & Fitness Academy | Krav Maga Self-Defense | Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Nervous about walking into a Krav Maga school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling a few core techniques with a partner — controlled and at your own pace, not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move in — there's no uniform or special gear you need to buy to get started. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — most schools have everything else you'll need for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call what to bring. Pressure-testing eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid — you won't be sparring hard on day one. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.

Krav Maga is a contact activity. Ease in, train at your own pace, listen to your instructors, and if you have any injuries or health concerns, mention them before class and check with a doctor if you're unsure.
