From the reviews

I’m a Veteran and can attest that not only is this training needed by many but I feel it should be required for the women and children in your life. It’s not so much about building strength to overpower an attacker but to use your own strengths and even weakness to your advantage.

I enrolled my daughter in an 8-week self defense course here. I was told to get as much lead time before she goes off to college, so she is prepared to defend her self in any unexpected situation. She is a freshmen in high school and my husband and I are so grateful we enrolled her at PURE!

This place operates like a family not a gym. My son has been under their instruction for 2 years and will continue to be trained under them forever! We had a bully issue and they have given him back his self confidence without turning him into a 'hot head'...

My teenage daughter went for her first "class". Owner is super nice, open, and worked really well with her students. I only got to see the "novice" level class, but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and the instructors were engaged the whole time.

Your first Krav Maga class at Pure Krav Maga

Nervous about walking into a Krav Maga school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling a few core techniques with a partner — controlled and at your own pace, not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move in — there's no uniform or special gear you need to buy to get started. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — most schools have everything else you'll need for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call what to bring. Pressure-testing eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid — you won't be sparring hard on day one. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.

Krav Maga is a contact activity. Ease in, train at your own pace, listen to your instructors, and if you have any injuries or health concerns, mention them before class and check with a doctor if you're unsure.
