Thank you Rock Solid for accepting a 66 year old female without hesitation. I really have enjoyed my journey with you thus far and am embracing the new me. I have gained much more confidence with myself. I am comfortable and love your teaching style.

I’m in the Krav class and If I could give 10 stars I would. I’ve had a wonderful experience here. Everyone is very welcoming, never any judgment, so it’s easy to feel comfortable. The instructor does a good job of easing you into the class while still pushing you to be better.

Your first Krav Maga class at Rock Solid Martial Arts and Fitness

Nervous about walking into a Krav Maga school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling a few core techniques with a partner — controlled and at your own pace, not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move in — there's no uniform or special gear you need to buy to get started. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — most schools have everything else you'll need for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call what to bring. Pressure-testing eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid — you won't be sparring hard on day one. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.

Krav Maga is a contact activity. Ease in, train at your own pace, listen to your instructors, and if you have any injuries or health concerns, mention them before class and check with a doctor if you're unsure.
