From the reviews

My son has been attending VMA since June of this year and I can't begin to explain the immense growth in confidence, self esteem, and respect I've seen in him. The values that are consistently reinforced in class are the exact principles I want instilled in my child and they are delivered in the best ways.

My son has been going to Vision Martial Arts - Wake Forest for about 5 months now. I can't tell how much he loves working with Ms. Neikirk, Mrs. and Ms. Archer and Ms. Farwig. They are instructing in an enthusiastic, firm, clear and fun way and everyone in the class love participating!

We absolutely love this Taekwondo studio! Ms. Neikirk and Mr. Oaks are truly the best — they make every class such a fun and exciting experience while still teaching the kids discipline, respect, and focus. Our child looks forward to every single session, and we’ve seen such a positive difference.

Your first Krav Maga class at Vision Martial Arts

Nervous about walking into a Krav Maga school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling a few core techniques with a partner — controlled and at your own pace, not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move in — there's no uniform or special gear you need to buy to get started. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — most schools have everything else you'll need for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call what to bring. Pressure-testing eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid — you won't be sparring hard on day one. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.

Krav Maga is a contact activity. Ease in, train at your own pace, listen to your instructors, and if you have any injuries or health concerns, mention them before class and check with a doctor if you're unsure.
