From the reviews
We had an amazing time with Sean and his team at Karate Oconee! Burn Bootcamp hosted a self defense training with KO and it was such a great experience! We learned so much and trained so much! I genuinely feel safer with the knowledge gained at this class! Highly recommend!
My three kids are learning so much in the classes and their discipline at home has started to improve at home too. It is a perfect learning environment where the instructors are committed to putting in as much as child brings to the table.
Our journey begin in 2021, when our daughter Mia was in kindergarten. Mia was an introvert and had a hard time setting boundaries with her classmates. We started with a promotional trial. Since day one, Mr. Dempsey took care of Mia. He is polite, understanding, and respectful. He is also playful with the students.
If you are looking for a place that will support good principles, where your kids can continue the formation that you try to create at home, KO is the place for you!!! We are parents that strive to make sure our kids grow with principles, good manners and respect towards others.
Your first Krav Maga class at KARATE OCONEE & KRAV MAGA
Nervous about walking into a Krav Maga school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling a few core techniques with a partner — controlled and at your own pace, not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move in — there's no uniform or special gear you need to buy to get started. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — most schools have everything else you'll need for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call what to bring. Pressure-testing eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid — you won't be sparring hard on day one. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
