From the reviews
I took Krav Maga level one at Vigilance Combatives, and it was great! Here’s what you need to know: 1. The moves are real, they work and they all have real world applicability. 2. Sean (owner) is a great instructor, his knowledge and excitement for Krav shows during every class! 3.
Great place for the whole family, regardless of age or skill level! The O’Dowds are tough, but patient; highly skilled, but able to break every move down and coach you through it. Our children ages 3, 8 and 13 all love tae kwon do here, and my husband and I enjoy Krav Maga with our teenager! Want a good workout?
Sean's place is great. Good bit of room with the new expansion, too. Excellent instructors, family atmosphere, definitely something for everyone from elite military fighters to tournament competitors to moms and teens learning self defense to kids learning discipline and channeling their energy in health and…
Great place to learn important lessons that can be used for real life situations. I enjoy taekwondo and Krav Maga here, thank you.
Your first Krav Maga class at Vigilance Combatives LLC
Nervous about walking into a Krav Maga school for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good instructors expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling a few core techniques with a partner — controlled and at your own pace, not hard sparring. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move in — there's no uniform or special gear you need to buy to get started. What to bring: water and a mouthguard if you have one — most schools have everything else you'll need for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call what to bring. Pressure-testing eases in gradually, once your fundamentals are solid — you won't be sparring hard on day one. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet the instructor. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
