The Krav Maga Class Cost Index (2026)

"How much does Krav Maga cost a month?" is the single most-asked question about the training — so we built the number instead of guessing at it. We read the pricing that US Krav Maga schools publish themselves and rolled it into one index: what membership actually costs, how prices spread, and how the states compare. Updated 2026-07-19.

The headline number

The typical Krav Maga membership in America is about $89 a month.

Most schools land between $49 and $198 a month, across a full range of $20 to $300. Based on the 35 schools in our directory that post a price publicly. Good news for a first-timer: you rarely pay to try at all — a free intro or trial class is common, so you can feel the room before you commit a dollar.

What you'll actually pay: the price bands

Krav Maga membership isn't one price — it's a spread. Here's how the 35 priced schools fall out by band. The tails matter: budget schools and community programs anchor the low end, while premium schools with big networks and full unlimited access push the top.

Read it as a floor on your homework, not a quote: these are the prices schools chose to publish. Many list only "first class free" or "contact us," so treat this as a starting point and confirm the current rate — and ask what's included (Level 1–5 classes, private lessons, how many sessions a week) before you compare two schools on price alone.

The state cost index

Where enough gyms post a price to rank a state honestly (at least 5 priced gyms), here's the median membership by state. California sits at the top at $62 a month.

1 California $62 $50–$200 5

Emerging state data

An honest note on coverage: cost data is the hardest field to gather, because most gyms don't post a price at all. So far 35 gyms across 20 states publish one — 3.6% of the directory. That's plenty for a solid national figure, but thin at the state level, so we show every state with at least 3 priced gyms below and flag the small samples plainly. These rows will firm up as our crawl grows.

Methodology: prices are the gyms' own publicly posted figures, read from gym websites and pricing pages in our national directory of 968 Krav Maga schools. We prefer the monthly membership rate — it's what most people mean by "how much is Krav Maga a month" — and fall back to a drop-in / class rate only where that's all a gym posts. Every number is a floor on coverage — a gym only enters the index once it lists a price, so the sample (35 gyms, 3.6% of the directory) grows with each re-crawl. National median and quartiles are computed across all priced gyms; a state is ranked once it has 5+ priced gyms and shown as "emerging" at 3+. Prices change often — always confirm the current rate on the gym's own schedule. More data: the stats hub and best cities for Krav Maga.
